Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 September 2026
This policy explains what information we process when you use the Aihper website, Desktop, App, and Node; how we use and keep it; and how you can delete your account. Technical security detail is on the Security page.
01Scope
This policy covers the following Aihper services:
- The website (including download pages, docs, and this site)
- Desktop
- App
- Node (the headless presence you install on a machine)
- User-facing contact channels such as the contact form
Content that stays only on your devices and never reaches our servers is not “information we process.” See the next section.
02Information that stays on your devices
By default, the following stay on your computer or on a machine where you run Node. We cannot see their contents:
- Local files, drafts, and materials in your workspace
- Website login passwords (encrypted on the device; the key that opens them lives only on that device)
- Task history and resources that remain local when encrypted sync is off
When a site needs to open or a password needs to be filled in, Aihper asks on the device first. What you type stays local and is not written into task history. See Security.
03Information we process
To provide accounts, device presence, and communication, we process:
- Account data: your email, and credentials used to verify sign-in
- Device presence: which Desktop, App, or Node instances are online, plus basic identifiers used to distinguish and manage those devices
- Content you submit: the email and message you leave through the contact form
- Technical records needed to run the service: for example request time, API status, and error information, used for availability and troubleshooting
Technical records do not include the contents of your local files or plaintext website passwords stored on the device. We do not use advertising trackers to follow you around the web.
04Cloud and optional sync
Cloud storage related to your account includes:
- Your sign-in identity, and which devices are currently online
- If you turn on encrypted sync: an encrypted backup in the cloud. Without the key on your device, we cannot open it. Your login password cannot open that backup either
Encrypted sync is optional. By default, local files are not uploaded to the cloud in plaintext.
05Processing while work is in progress
To finish the current job, related content is processed as needed:
- Content related to the current task is sent to Aihper for processing
- Other files on your computer are not scanned or uploaded on their own because of that
- Website passwords stay locked on the device and are not uploaded in plaintext with the task
Processing is limited to what is needed to complete that task.
06How we use this information
We use the information above only to:
- Create and maintain your account, and complete sign-in
- Show which devices are online so you can manage Desktop, App, and Node
- Process the current work request so the task can continue
- Reply when you write through the contact form
- Keep the service secure and stable, fix faults, and prevent abuse
- Meet legal obligations when applicable law requires it
We do not use this information to show you third-party ads, or to build cross-site advertising profiles for advertisers.
07When information may be provided to others
Information may be provided outside Aihper only in these cases:
- As needed to run the service: infrastructure or processing steps we choose, working under our instructions (for example hosting or delivering email)
- When the law requires it: under applicable law, valid legal process, or a lawful request from a competent authority
- When reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of users, the public, or Aihper
We do not sell your personal information to data brokers, and we do not sell it as an advertising audience list.
08How long we keep information
We keep information under these principles:
- Account and device-presence data: for as long as the account exists
- Contact-form content: deleted or anonymized within a reasonable time after we handle it, unless the law requires otherwise
- Encrypted sync backups: cleared through system processes after you turn sync off or delete the account
- Technical records: only for the reasonable period needed for operations and security
Deleting the account does not automatically erase local files or on-device passwords that remain on your computer or Node machine; those stay under your control.
10How to delete your account
You can delete your account yourself:
- Start deletion in account settings on Desktop or the App
- After deletion, that account on our side and related cloud data kept with it are removed
- Local files and on-device website passwords are not cleared automatically by account deletion; you handle those on the device
Deleting the account deletes that account on our side and the cloud data attached to it.
11How to contact us
Questions about this policy, or about how personal information is handled, can be sent via the contact page.
